When we pulled out our rear sofa, we discovered that the angle iron bracket had separated from the wall and pulled out the oversized screws I had installed last season.

Panic set in at first — we weren’t sure we could fix this ourselves. Alliance RV to the rescue again! Even though our rig is out of frame warranty, they provided detailed instructions, helpful videos, and even offered up to 2 hours of paid labor toward the repair. That was incredibly generous. Thank you, Alliance RV!
These two videos were especially helpful:
I gathered all the tools and materials I needed and got started.

First, I removed the sofa and the old oversized screws from the wall and angle iron. Then I moved outside and removed the rear panels to inspect the wall stud and plate. The door-side wall was separated by about ½”.

Using the ratchet strap method recommended by Alliance, I pulled the wall back into position.

After a lot of pulling and grunting, I was able to close the gap completely. I secured the wall by inserting a 5” Spax construction screw through the back trim into the subfloor on both sides. Once secured, I reinstalled the panels.

Inside, the angle bracket and wall needed extra attention. I drilled out the old holes for 3/16” rivets and added more holes between the original ones to double the holding power. Then I installed oversized screws for added strength.

After everything was secure, I reinstalled the sofa and reattached it to the floor. Done!
